St Gianna Early Childhood Center is seeking a passionate Early Childhood Aide to join our team. We care for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years, with care hours from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday, year round.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in early childhood education and a love for working with young children. You will foster a nurturing environment that supports social, emotional, and cognitive development, weaving Catholic teachings into daily activities.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young children in a preschool or daycare setting.
• Strong knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive environment for all children, including those with special education needs.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
• Supervise and engage in learning activities with our students under the direction of the lead teacher.
• Assist in preparation of materials and directing activities.
• Assists in food preparation, serving meals and/or refreshments and cleaning.
• Assist in care for students' individual needs and maintain discipline.
• Assist classroom activities effectively, ensuring all children are engaged and participating.
• Collaborate with other educators and staff to create a cohesive educational experience for all students.
• Assist in classroom organization and cleanliness to provide a conducive learning environment.
• Instill a love for Christ, and weave Catholic teachings into daily activities.
• Knowledge and ability to change diapers and help with potty training.
