Nativity of Mary is seeking a dependable Preschool Aide to join our early childhood team. This role supports teachers in helping children grow socially, emotionally, spiritually, and academically through daily routines, play-based learning, and positive guidance.

Successful candidates are patient, flexible, energetic, and able to work collaboratively while meeting the needs of a busy preschool classroom. This is an on-site role in Minneapolis with a focus on nurturing a safe, joyful learning

Responsibilities

• Support the lead teacher with daily classroom activities and routines.
• Assist with centers, play-based learning, and teacher-led instruction.
• Provide one-on-one and small group support for students as needed.
• Help children with transitions throughout the day (arrival, snack, rest, dismissal).
• Use positive redirection to foster age-appropriate behavior.
• Prepare classroom materials and maintain an organized space.
• Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play.
• Foster a calm, caring atmosphere where children feel safe and valued.
• Assist with classroom cleanup and end-of-day duties.
• Collaborate with the teacher and preschool team to support all students.

This role supports our teachers in helping children grow socially, emotionally, spiritually, and academically through daily routines, play-based learning, and positive guidance. Successful candidates are patient, flexible, energetic, and able to work collaboratively while meeting the many needs of a busy preschool classroom.

Responsibilities Include

• Support the lead teacher in carrying out daily classroom activities and routines
• Assist with centers, play-based learning, and teacher-led instruction
• Provide one-on-one and small group support for students as needed
• Help children with transitions throughout the day, including arrival, cleanup, bathroom breaks, snack, lunch, rest time, and dismissal
• Use positive redirection and encouragement to support age-appropriate behavior
• Prepare classroom materials and help maintain an organized learning environment
• Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play
• Foster a calm, caring, and engaging atmosphere where children feel safe and valued
• Assist with classroom cleanup and end-of-day responsibilities
• Work closely with the teacher and preschool team to support the needs of all students
