Job Summary

Ladgov Corporation is hiring a Catholic musician to support services for religious programs at the Joint Base Little Creek Chapel.

Responsibilities

• Provide music to support the missions and responsibilities of the Command Religious Program for the Joint Base Little Creek Chapel on an annual basis.
• Perform one Roman Catholic Mass service per week for a total of 52 services. The Mass begins at 12:15 pm on Sundays and lasts approximately one hour.
• Perform eight special event services (e.g., Ash Wednesday, Christmas Eve mass, Holy Week Services, etc.).
• Schedule to be determined.
• Monthly choir rehearsals for the Catholic Mass (12 regular rehearsals). The rehearsal includes rehearsal time for special musical selections and lasts approximately one hour. Days and times to be determined.
• Plan and provide music for up to a maximum of two services for funerals, memorial services, and special events in coordination with the Installation Chaplain (not to exceed 2 services).

Requirements

• Clear understanding of the Navy organization and the pluralistic ministry requirements that affect the use of chapel facilities and staff.
• At least one year of experience with Roman Catholic ministries conducted in a military setting and demonstrated skills in various sacred musical genres appropriate per faith tradition.
