Job summary

The Archdiocese of Chicago seeks a full-time 5th and 6th grade math teacher for the 2026-2027 school year at Christ the King in Chicago. The teacher will develop foundational mathematical reasoning, differentiate instruction, and foster faith formation within a diverse elementary setting.

Ideal candidates are organized, collaborative educators who will also manage a 5th grade homeroom and teach religion daily, while participating in school events, liturgies, and family communication.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's degree and state licensure is preferred
• Practicing Catholic (preferred, required for religion teachers)
• Compliance with safe environment requirements

Responsibilities

• Teach 5th & 6th grade mathematics with strong foundational skill development.
• Carry 5th grade homeroom duties and teach the religion period daily.
