Job summary

Northside Catholic Academy in Chicago is seeking a Middle School ELA teacher for 6th–8th grades for the 2026-2027 school year. The Teacher will model Catholic teachings, support student literacy and writing, and collaborate with staff to promote a faith-based learning environment.

Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree, have or pursue state licensure, and participate in religious formation; experience in Catholic schooling is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Bachelor’s degree.
• Practicing Catholic (preferred) and Catholic identity formation training.
• Must have valid state licensure for the grade/subject area (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Teach middle school ELA in 6th–8th grade.
• Act as a representative of the Archdiocese and Catholic Church.
• Maintain accurate student records and conduct assessments.
• Participate in required professional development and meetings.
