Job summary

Bishop Noll Institute in Hammond, Indiana, seeks an experienced Assistant Athletic Director to lead its athletic program, promote Catholic values, develop student-athletes, and support the school's mission.

You will assist the Athletic Director in daily operations, coordinate events, hire and supervise coaches, manage volunteers, monitor academics, and ensure compliance with IHSAA policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in athletic or sports management, particularly in a high school setting.
• Knowledgeable of IHSAA bylaws, policies and procedures.
• Detail-oriented and enthusiastic about education-based athletics.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Athletic Director with daily operation of the athletic department.
• Coordinate scheduling of contests and events via Eventlink and IHSAA.
• Hire, onboard, supervise and develop coaches.
• Coordinate game workers and volunteers and track service hours.
• Supervision at athletic events and activities.
• Promote sportsmanship, discipline, respect and excellence among student-athletes and coaches.
• Ensure compliance with school policies, conference and IHSAA requirements.
• Coordinate communication with coaches, student-athletes, families, officials and visiting schools.
• Assist with athletic facilities, equipment, uniforms and inventory.
• Support budgeting, purchasing and financial processes for the department.
• Submit official rosters to the IHSAA and ensure coaching staff are certified.
• Coordinate uniform orders and post-season charges as needed.
• Assist with the Warrior Shop operations and concession stands.
• Coordinate Student Athletic Council and meetings.
• Monitor academic progress and eligibility of student-athletes.
• Support college signing events and scholarship nominations.
