Qualifications

• Must hold current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) or Illinois Substitute License or valid out-of-state certificate with reciprocity.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in Elementary Education or related discipline.
• Practicing Catholic preferred but required to teach religion/theology courses.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a positive role model and support Catholic Church teachings.
• Create a faith-focused learning environment and promote a safe, respectful classroom.
• Follow the absent teacher's lesson plans and document student progress.
• Leave detailed notes for the absent teacher and manage classroom behavior.
• Use technology to enhance lessons and supervise students during school activities.
