Job summary

St. Leo the Great Catholic Elementary School (PreK-8) in Lancaster, PA seeks a dedicated Elementary Principal for the 2026-2027 year. The principal leads spiritual and academic programs, aligning with the Diocese and parish partners in a Classical Education Model that centers Jesus Christ in education.

The role offers collaboration with 31 diocesan principals and oversight of a 300-student community, reporting to the Pastor with support from the Diocesan Office and School Board.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Master’s degree in Educational Administration and Pennsylvania Administrative certification.
• Minimum of five years of satisfactory Catholic school teaching/administrative experience.
• Evidence of certification of religious studies or commitment to attaining it within three years.
• Open to developing and implementing a Classical Education Model in a Catholic school context.

Responsibilities

• Provide spiritual and educational leadership in a Catholic school setting.
• Oversee organizational, curriculum, and faculty development aligned with Diocesan policies.
• Manage school operations, safety, budgeting, and community relations with pastors, school board, and parish connections.
