Job summary

Our Lady of the Assumption School in Claremont, CA seeks a long term substitute teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Compensation is $25-$30 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. The role requires strong Catholic faith, credential, and collaborative teaching across TK-8.

Qualifications

• Be a Catholic in good standing with the Roman Catholic Church
• Valid Teaching Credential
• Minimum two years’ experience working with elementary school age children
• MA/MS preferred
• Catechetical Certification (or in process)
• VIRTUS Certification and Fingerprinting through ADLA

Responsibilities

• Support and witness Catholic teachings through compassionate instruction.
• Form close partnerships with parents as primary educators.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be proficient in technology for instruction and learning.
• Collaborate with TK-8 colleagues and grade level teams to maintain the continuum of learning.
