Job Description

Summary:

Operates all cath lab equipment and digital processing equipment. Performs all cath lab duties such as scrub assistant, X-ray equipment operation, and digital processing. Contributes to the department's operations by managing supplies and maintaining an organized work area. Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development principles to perform procedures on adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. A current Texas Radiology Technology license is required prior to employment. Specialization can be obtained in modalities such as Diagnostic Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Peripheral Angiography, Permanent Pacemaker Implantation, and Automatic Internal Cardiac Defibrillator Implantation with training and active participation.

Requirements:
  1. Education/Skills
  • Radiology Associate Degree required; B.S. Degree preferred
  • Experience
    • One year of Cath Lab experience preferred but not required
  • Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
    • Texas Medical Board (TXMB) license
    • ARRT certification (not required)
    • BLS certification
    • ACLS certification
