Responsibilities

Position Responsibilities:

• Exhibits strong organizational skills, including interaction, time management, independent problem solving, conflict resolution, and fiscal management. Ensures a professional and patient-oriented departmental atmosphere to enhance patient care.
• Manages staff and room activities to maximize productivity. Coordinates staffing assignments to meet patient needs and staff abilities. Suggests staffing and procedural improvements and collaborates with other hospital departments as needed.
• Works with schedule coordinators, managers, supervisors, and other leaders to facilitate departmental productivity. Initiates actions to minimize delays and reports schedule information promptly.
• Operates radiographic equipment following radiation safety procedures.
• Operates physiologic recorder/database systems, recognizing arrhythmias and waveform abnormalities.
• Handles manifold, power injector, and support equipment (VCR, ACT machines, oximeters, transport monitors).

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience in a hospital setting.

• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).
• BLS certification (14-day grace period).
• ACLS certification (6-month grace period).

Position Summary

Responsible for supervising room staff, coordinating schedules, and communicating with the Cath Lab management team to ensure resource efficiency. Performs circulating, scrub, and monitoring duties during invasive cardiology procedures. Must understand all invasive procedures, equipment, supplies, and indications, ensuring high-quality examinations and interventions while maintaining patient safety.
