Job summary

University of Florida Health is seeking a Cardiovascular Technologist II to provide patient care in the Cardiac Cath Lab. The role circulates, scrubs, and records diagnostic and interventional procedures across adult interventional, heart failure, and pulmonary services.

As a multi-modality position, the technologist may be assigned to different locations and must communicate effectively, assist physicians during invasive and non-invasive procedures, and educate patients about upcoming

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy.
• Alternative: minimum of five years of Cath Lab Technologist experience.
• Licensing: RCIS, RCES, BLS, ACLS; ARRT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician in invasive and non-invasive procedures.
• Educate patient about pending procedures.
• Provide patient care including ambulation and daily needs.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
• Accurately complete patient/procedure documentation in EMR.
• Operate and stay current on Cath Lab equipment and related software.
• May be assigned to alternate clinical areas as needed.
