Job summary

SSM Health in the United States is seeking a Radiology/Cardiovascular Technologist to assist with procedures that analyze, diagnose and treat the cardiovascular system. You will support cath lab workflows and ensure patient safety throughout the process.

The ideal candidate will complete a Cardiovascular or Radiology Technology program. No prior experience is required, and a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 is available for external applicants who meet qualifications.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Cardiovascular or Radiology Technology program.
• No experience required.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for procedures, reviews history, positions patients, and cleans/shaves/numbs testing sites.
• Interprets, describes and reports test results; detects recording errors and artifacts.
• Monitors patient before, during and after procedures and reports any abnormal findings.
• Prepares and maintains equipment, supplies and lab area.
• Ensures equipment functions properly and reports malfunctions.
• Maintains a clean, orderly department.
• May perform point of care testing per policies.
• Maintains a constant state of alertness and safety.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
