Job summary

Prime Healthcare's St. Mary’s Medical Center in Blue Springs, MO seeks a Cath Lab Technologist per diem to assist in cardiac catheterization procedures under a physician, scrubbing or monitoring hemodynamic data.

ARRT-R license and RCIS or Electrophysiology Specialist required; BCLS and ACLS within 30 days; prior cath lab experience preferred; competitive per diem shifts and benefits available.

Qualifications

• ARRT-R certification and RCIS or Registered Electrophysiology Specialist required
• BCLS (AHA) certification required on hire
• ACLS certification required within 30 days of hire
• Proficient computer skills are essential
• Previous experience in a cardiovascular lab is preferred
• Cardiovascular technologist training with emphasis in invasive cardiology preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist cardiologists during cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Ensure all equipment, including catheters, monitors and imaging devices, is prepared and functioning.
• Explain procedures to patients and position them comfortably on the table.
• Monitor vitals, ECGs and hemodynamic data during procedures.
• Transfer patients to recovery and provide post-procedure instructions.
• Track instrument and supply par levels for the Cath Lab.
