University Health Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, MO is seeking a PRN Cathlab Technologist for the Cardiac Cath Lab. You will prepare the lab and assist during procedures, working with cardiologists in a dynamic, patient-focused environment.

Part-time, on-site role with 4 hours per week; requires CV tech certification, BLS/ACLS, and cardio lab experience. The position emphasizes safety, accuracy, and quality records as you support critical cardiac care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified CV Tech or equivalent in combination of education and experience.
• Two (2) years experience in an active cardiac catheterization lab.
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Ability to wear lead apron (5-7 pounds) for up to three hours and have ability to walk, stand, and stoop.
• Thorough knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and hemodynamics, as well as cardiovascular equipment and supplies.
• Working knowledge of formulae used to calculate gradients, shunts, and cardiac outputs.
• Ability to recognize life‑threatening arrhythmias under all monitoring situations.
• Ability to recognize intra‑cardiac electrocardiogram and measure intervals.
• Good verbal and written communication skills for maintaining logs, records, and quality assurance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds for lifting and positioning all patients safely.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Cardiac Catheterization lab and assist during procedures.
• Operate X-ray and monitoring equipment and scrub to assist cardiologists.
• Maintain logs and quality assurance data.
