We Are Hiring

• Bonus: Up to $15,000
• Department: Cardiac Cath Lab
• Schedule: Multiple shifts available
• Hospital: UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham

What You Will Do

Assist physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac and peripheral vascular diseases and arrhythmias. Serve as a scrub assistant, monitor, and circulator. Operate equipment used in the cath lab.

• Admit and orient patients to the cath lab, entering information into databases and systems. Explain procedures to patients and families.
• Establish and maintain sterile fields as a scrub assistant, following infection control policies.
• Monitor patient status using EKG, x-ray, and hemodynamic equipment. Respond to physiological changes appropriately.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety, document procedures, and operate equipment like blood oximetry, hemodynamic monitors, defibrillators, pacemakers, and x-ray machines.
• Follow safety regulations, wear protective gear, and maintain certifications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Will Need

Licensure:

• Current CPR certification; must obtain within 30 days if not already certified.
• ACLS certification from AHA within 6 months of hire.
• Registration as RCIS through CCI or ARRT.

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; one year of experience preferred.
