Job summary

Northshore Home Health Care in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a Cardiac Technologist specializing in invasive cardiac and peripheral vascular diagnostic and interventional procedures, including electrophysiology (EP) procedures.

You will perform advanced imaging, hemodynamic monitoring, ECG/EKG analysis, and manage devices such as pacemakers and ICDs, delivering patient-centered care across all ages while staying current with EP protocols and technology.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required or equivalent experience.
• Experience in electrophysiology, cardiovascular technology, and pharmacology.
• RCES certification within 18 months of hire; RCIS preferred.
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and interventional procedures in invasive cardiac and EP settings.
• Monitor, record, and analyze electrocardiograms (ECG/EKG) and intracardiac pressures; assist with sterile procedures and imaging equipment.
• Handle blood samples, sterile supplies, and work with patients across all ages.
• Manage devices like pacemakers, ICDs, and BiV; rhythm management and patient education.
• Maintain knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and EP protocols.

• Perform advanced imaging, hemodynamic monitoring, and electrophysiology procedures to assess and treat cardiac and vascular diseases.
• Monitor, record, and analyze electrocardiograms (EKG) and intracardiac pressures, assisting with sterile procedures and operating specialized equipment such as X-ray and imaging devices.
• Handle blood samples, sterile supplies, and work with patients across all age groups, from newborns to geriatrics.
• Focus on electrophysiology protocols, managing devices like pacemakers, ICDs, and BiV, ensuring high-quality care for patients with rhythm disturbances.
• Maintain knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and emergent care, staying current with EP protocols and technological advances.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Cardiovascular Technology or equivalent experience.
• Expertise in electrophysiology, cardiovascular technology, and pharmacology.
• Registration as a Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) within 18 months of hire; RCIS preferred.
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.
