ALASKA HEART INSTITUTE is seeking a Cath Lab Technician in Anchorage, AK. The technician will assist physicians in various cardiovascular procedures, be responsible for pre-operative preparations and patient care, and must have strong knowledge in cardiac anatomy and procedures.

Knowledgeable of cardiac anatomy and physiology, invasive cardiovascular practices/techniques/pressures, EKG analysis and emergency protocols. Assists the cardiovascular physicians in performing diagnostic cardiac and diagnostic/interventional peripheral procedures. Demonstrates the ability to use a variety of complicated/advanced equipment, monitors, devices and supplies. Provides all aspects of care for the cardiovascular patient, including pre‑op assessment, procedural, and post‑op recovery.Knowledge of cardiovascular disease and the potential hazards associated with invasive cardiovascular procedures. Must possess the ability to cross‑train within the procedural environment. Obtain proficiency in a minimum of two roles, including but not limited to circulating, monitoring, and scrubbing. Demonstrates the ability to operate all holding and procedure room equipment safely and correctly. Adheres to established standards and procedures. Performs all duties in a manner which promotes a "team" concept.
$40-$60hr to start (dependent upon experience).
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of cardiovascular technology or radiography, or background knowledge and skill set in cardiovascular patient care. Interpretation of EKGs and hemodynamic pressure tracings.
Experience: Minimum of one to two years of experience.
