Role and Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in specialized cardiovascular procedures such as diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, pacemaker/defibrillator implantations, intra-aortic balloon pump operation (IABP), and electrophysiology studies.
• Evaluate and document patient status, respond appropriately, and intervene or refer as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Demonstrate clinical expertise, competence, and proficiency, exceeding standard responsibilities.
• Commit to ongoing learning and team collaboration, participate in committees and in-services.

Qualifications

• Diploma, associate, or baccalaureate in health sciences or accredited invasive cardiovascular technology program.
• Current BLS from the American Heart Association.
• RCIS through CCI, or RCES, or RRT with post-primary certification in Cardiac-Interventional Radiography.
• Colorado Surgical Assistant License or Surgical Technologist Certification (for Colorado staff).
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
