Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Cath Lab Tech III for the Cardiovascular department on a Per Diem basis. The role involves patient preparation, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with invasive procedures in a fast-paced hospital setting on site at 789 Central Avenue.

Qualified candidates will hold RCIS or ARRT certifications (or ATLS) and an NH imaging license, with ACLS and BLS credentials. A BS degree in radiology/cardiology is preferred. Remote work is not offered; day shifts are typical.

Qualifications

  • NH State Medical Imaging License required.
  • ACLS, RCIS or ARRT, BLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for procedures and assist during exams.
  • Monitor patients’ psychosocial needs and provide education on disease processes.
  • Implement discharge planning and documentation.

Your Role
  • Patient Support: Monitor and manage vital signs, assist with intravenous and oxygen therapy, and provide pain management.
  • Emergency Response: Be prepared to coordinate emergency measures and ensure patient safety through surveillance and infection control.
  • Family Involvement: Facilitate family participation in patient care and provide emotional support during stressful times.
  • Professional Growth: Engage in ongoing education, maintain competency in cardiovascular practices, and seek certification when eligible.

Qualifications

Experience Minimum Required

  • RCIS upon hire and/or ARRT credential.

Experience Preferred/Desired

  • 2+ years catheterization and angiography laboratory experience
  • Electrophysiology experience
Education

Minimum Required

  • Graduate of an approved radiology/cardiology program or Military equivalent program

Preferred/Desired

  • BS in radiology/cardiology services or equivalent
Special Skills

Minimum Required

  • A working knowledge of all cardiology aspects desired.
  • Computer manipulation, verbal and written communication skills, mechanical attitude.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative manner.
  • Make effective judgments and decisions based on objective criteria.
Licensure and/or Certifications Required
