Job Description

The Cath lab technologist is a professional caregiver who specializes and performs/assists with invasive and noninvasive cardiovascular procedures. The technologist is responsible for assisting the cardiologist while adhering to departmental standards and protocols, collaborating with other professionals in and out of the hospital to ensure effective, efficient patient care delivery, and achieving desired outcomes. The technologist also performs other related duties incidental to the work described.

Education

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiological Sciences, RT or CVIS

Licenses/Certificates

• ARRT, CVIS, CRT, RRT
• Current BLS certification
• Cath lab or Cardiovascular specialty certification preferred
