The Cardiac Catheterization Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of procedures within the specialty, including but not limited to: Left Heart Catheterization, High-Risk PCI, Right Heart Catheterization, Pacemakers, Peripheral Procedures, and Structural Heart interventions.
Responsibilities
- Perform catheterization procedures with a focus on patient safety and care.
- Assist in high-risk procedures and ensure all equipment is functioning accurately.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain records of procedures performed and ensure compliance with clinical standards.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiac catheterization.
- Current AHA BLS certification.
- Certifications: AART or RCIS preferred.
- Associate degree in health science or completion of an accredited Technology program (CVT/Radiology).
