Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Lake Pointe in Rowlett, TX is seeking a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist to support physicians during catheterization and electrophysiology procedures. You will prep rooms, monitor patients, and provide essential care throughout procedures and post-care, with on-call responsibilities and a 10-hour shift pattern.

The role requires ARRT/RCIS-compatible credentials and strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree or 2 years of related cardiovascular lab experience.
• Must be available for On Call response per facility policy.
• Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology.

Responsibilities

• Helps Physicians with arteriograms/catheterizations, pacemaker/defibrillator implantations, and other interventional procedures.
• Follows radiation protection regulations for patients and staff; provides CPR/defibrillation as needed.
• Performs pre- and post-procedure care and monitoring.
• Orients patients for catheterization or electrophysiology procedures.
• Answers questions to help patients feel at ease.
• Monitors ECG, pressures, temperature and impedances in EP Lab; notifies physician of variances.
• Assists with RF/Cryo ablation systems and 3D mapping; records procedural data.
• Maintains sterile fields and prepares procedure rooms; orders supplies and inventories.
• Coordinates and audits resources during inventories; ensures equipment is calibrated and functional.
• Trains new staff and participates in quality control initiatives and governance.
