Job summary

Altru Health seeks a Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND. The role requires strong sterile technique and knowledge of multiple procedures to anticipate surgeon needs.

You will prepare case set-up, handle instruments, and ensure compliance with SOPs while contributing to patient safety. In addition to technical skills, the position requires English proficiency and collaboration with the surgical team, radiology, and cardiology colleagues.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Surgical Technology.
• Certification as CST preferred; BLS within 90 days of start date.
• Proficiency in reading, writing and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and prepares case set-up prior to start of case.
• Identifies and communicates unusual techniques and instruments required for surgery.
• Cleans, assembles and cares for instruments and equipment used in surgery.
• Documents procedure changes on cards and follows SOPs.
• Participates in measuring and monitoring Quality Indicators and outcomes.
