Job summary

Banner Estrella Medical Center in Phoenix seeks a qualified Special Procedures Technologist (Cath Lab) to support imaging, scrubbing, circulating and monitoring during procedures. The role requires radiologic technology credentials, ARRT, and BLS/ACLS; PALS where applicable, with several years in cath lab or EP settings.

Qualifications

• Certificate or diploma from an approved Radiologic Technology program.
• Requires ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology (RT).
• Licensure and/or certification as required by state regulatory agency, if applicable.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• PALS certification required where applicable.
• 3 years Cath Lab, EP, or equivalent experience OR 5 years Cath Lab EP with 2 years in moderate acuity/complex environment.

Responsibilities

• Assists direct patient care within the Cath Lab and provides clinical support.
• Acts as primary resource for equipment education and user training for staff and physicians.
• Facilitates patient flow and ensures safe, efficient care during procedures.
• Performs preventive maintenance and safety checks on imaging equipment.
• Adheres to department policies and ensures confidentiality and professional responsibilities.
