Job summary

Springfield Memorial Hospital is seeking a Cath Lab Special Procedure Tech I for full-time day shift in Springfield, IL. You will operate cath lab equipment, monitor ECG, perform pre-procedure teaching, and assist with sterile technique and catheter insertion.

Two years of Cardiac Special Procedures experience preferred; ACLS and ARRT are required. A Nuclear Safety license and EKG training within a year are mandatory. Join our team for growth and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of approved School of Radiology; if hired before Sept 1990.
• ARRT certificate required.
• ACLS certification required.
• Has completed a basic EKG class within 1 year of hire.
• Illinois Nuclear Safety license required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of electrical equipment in the cath lab during procedures.
• Monitor patient ECG and alert physician to any change.
• Perform pre-procedure teaching and obtain signed consent.
• Provide sterile technique and assist with catheter/equipment insertion and removal.
• Set up equipment, monitor data, and ensure quality assurance of x-ray systems.
• Participate in on-call rotation and assist with post-procedure care.
