Job summary

US Heart & Vascular is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse for our Orion Medical Ambulatory Surgery Center in Houston, TX. The role focuses on invasive cardiovascular nursing, with emphasis on Cath Lab and EP Lab procedures, pre-, intra-, and post-operative care.

You will work within an interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate has an associate degree, BLS/ACLS, and 2 years in a Cardiac Cath Lab, with readiness for specialized cardiovascular certifications.

Qualifications

• Competent in invasive cardiovascular nursing care per Texas Nurse Practice Act.
• Experienced with Cath Lab and EP Lab procedures and equipment.
• Able to assist in pre-, intra-, and post-procedural care for invasive cardiology.
• Maintains patient safety and follows standards of practice.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents daily patient care.
• Identifies care needs; develops and revises individualized care plans.
• Coordinates and prioritizes nursing activities per skill level and complexity.
• Administers medications and treatments with compassion and accuracy.
• Performs routine technical procedures in Cath Lab and EP environments.
• Maintains accurate documentation of care and procedures.
• Interprets cardiac rhythms and responds to abnormal findings.
• Complies with CPR and ACLS requirements and safety standards.
