Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN to join the cardiovascular care team. You will work with cardiologists and a skilled team to support procedures such as cardiac catheterizations, angiograms, angioplasty, stent placement, atherectomy, thrombectomy, and more.

The role emphasizes high-quality patient care, teamwork, and rapid response to urgent cardiac cases. Requires an ADN with RN license; BSN preferred, BLS and ACLS certifications, and relevant critical

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of one year of Registered Nurse experience; Critical Care preferred.
• Current RN license through SC Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide Exceptional Patient Care: assess and prepare patients, monitor vital signs during procedures.
• Be an Integral Part of the Procedure Team: operate with cardiologists and clinical professionals during procedures.
• Educate and Support Patients & Families: explain procedures, recovery, and post-procedure care.
• Respond When It Matters Most: participate in on-call rotation and support urgent cardiac cases including STEMI activations.
• Collaborate Across the Care Team: maintain documentation and ensure continuity of care and safe discharge planning.
