Job summary

Bryan Health in Nebraska seeks a skilled Registered Nurse to support the Interventional Cardiology and Radiology departments (Cath Lab). You will deliver direct patient care before, during and after procedures, communicating with physicians, families and staff to ensure safety and quality of care.

Responsibilities include sterile technique, assisting cardiologists with equipment and medications, documenting care, and maintaining the patient record.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Nebraska.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification, or certification within six months of employment.
• 1 year of critical care experience preferred.
• Current RCIS certification preferred; RCIS within 6 months to 1 year if no prior invasive CVT experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct, safe, competent and quality patient care in the Interventional Cardiology & Radiology department.
• Approaches the patient and families in a kind, gentle and friendly manner with pre/post procedure instructions.
• Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
• Ensures Pre-Op requirements are complete per hospital policy.
• Demonstrates competence in preparing and cleaning Cath Lab suites and assisting cardiologist during procedures.
• Maintains sterile and aseptic techniques in all procedures.
• Takes call and responds within 30-minute response time.
• Assists with documentation and communication of care and hand-off reports.
