Job summary

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Southern California is seeking a Registered Nurse III to join the Cath Lab Preop/PACU team for 12-hour day shifts. This role provides pre- and post-care in a fast-paced Perianesthesia environment, supporting electrophysiology and cardiac catheterization patients from acute care to inpatient transition.

The ideal candidate will have a California RN license, ACLS, and 3+ years of acute care experience, with PACU training preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program required
• BSN Preferred
• Current, unrestricted California RN License required
• Current American Heart Association ACLS required
• CCRN, CPAN, or CVRN preferred (or willing to obtain within one year from date of hire)
• A minimum of 3 years of acute care nursing experience required
• Applicants with more than 1 but less than 3 years of experience are welcome to apply for consideration as a Clinical Nurse II
• At least 1 year of critical care experience strongly recommended
• PACU training and experience preferred
• PACU trained RNs will be eligible for Clinical Nurse III qualification, otherwise Clinical Nurse II title will apply

Responsibilities

• Work in the Perianesthesia environment and provide pre- and post-care for Electrophysiology and Cardiac Catheterization patients
• Perform nursing assessment, diagnosis and evaluation in the context of sedation or anesthesia
• Assist with transition from acute care to inpatient (Medical, Monitored or ICU) or same-day discharge
