Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of Critical Care nursing experience.
• One year of experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory.
• Completion of Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) training as part of Department Orientation.
• EPIC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates complete working knowledge of all equipment used within the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory.
• Maintains sterile supplies and applies proper sterile techniques for all procedures.
• Assists physicians in the scrub role using sterile technique to prevent cross-contamination and prepare patients.
• Positions patients to obtain images and administers meds/contrast under supervision.
• Documents procedures, balances calibration, and reports patient data.
• Reviews patient charts and assists with patient transport throughout the department.
• Maintains safety and radiation protection standards for patients and staff.
• Participates in on-call rotation to support after-hours procedures.
