Job summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Cath Lab at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center provides patient-centered care during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective care before, during, and after procedures.

Responsibilities include pre‑procedure assessments, medication administration, intra‑procedural support for the Cardiologist, post‑procedure monitoring, and education for patients

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in an acute care setting.
• RN license and current BCLS required.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care per nursing process.
• Document findings and report changes in condition to care team.
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects.
• Assist physicians during procedures and ensure equipment readiness.
• Collaborate to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Maintain infection control and promote patient safety.
• Document care thoroughly and participate in quality improvement.
