Job summary

UCHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Lab Cardiac Cath department in Aurora, CO. This role provides direct patient care in a high-acuity setting, with emphasis on safety, efficiency, and evidence-based practice.

Responsibilities include pre-procedure preparation, emergency response, and patient/family education. Requires RN licensure, ACLS, and BLS, with 6 months RN experience or UCHealth Fellowship. Work schedule is full-time, dayshift with 80 hours per pay period.

Qualifications

  • RN with state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
  • ACLS within 3 months of hire.
  • BLS certification prior to start date.
  • 6 months RN experience or completion of UCHealth Fellowship program.

Responsibilities

  • Performs pre-procedure tasks: prepare the environment, orient and assess the patient, review medical records for safety.
  • Responds to life-threatening situations using nursing standards and protocols.
  • Provides nursing care in a technically complex environment.
  • Evaluates learning needs of patient and family and provides education.
