Job summary

Baltimore Washington Medical Hospital is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for the Cath Lab. The role involves 24/7 operation in a high-intensity environment, with on-call duties and requirement to live within 30 minutes of the hospital.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of RN experience, with 2 years in ED or ICU preferred, and holds Maryland RN licensure. BSN preferred for new hires post-2018, with AHA BLS/ACLS required on hire.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred within 5 years for hires after July 1, 2018.
• Maryland RN licensure required prior to orientation.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience; 2 years in ED/ICU strongly preferred.
• AHA BLS and ACLS required upon hire; strong communication skills emphasized.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent care to patients within a clinical specialty as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Develop and support unit practices; participate in orientation and ongoing education.
• Contribute to unit outcomes and quality measures; support patient safety initiatives.
• Demonstrates effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication; collaborates with team.
• Assist in recruitment, staff development, and unit governance activities.
