Job summary

Valley View Medical Center in Arizona is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cath Lab to join a collaborative team in a smaller hospital setting. The role focuses on patient safety, individualized care planning, and coordination with multi-disciplinary colleagues to ensure optimal cardiovascular care.

Applicants should hold a current RN license with a minimum six months of Medical/Surgical experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Applicants should have a current state RN license.
• Minimum six months of Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• BCLS required
• ACLS/BCLS certification required

Responsibilities

• Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/healthcare errors.
• Formulates an individualized plan of care, revises the plan as indicated by the patient’s response to treatment, and evaluates the overall plan daily for effectiveness.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to care team, provider, patient and family following chain of command as appropriate.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, referral and psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient/family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient and protects patient rights.
