Talented Medical Solutions in Tuscaloosa, AL seeks an experienced Cath Lab RN – Cardiology for DAYS. The role provides direct patient care during invasive and non-invasive cardiac procedures, with a focus on safety, teaching, and teamwork in a busy outpatient/in-hospital setting.

Must have 1–2 years Cath Lab experience, AL or Compact RN license, BLS, NIH/Red Cross, and be able to float to other units as needed. Schedule features 4x10 hour shifts, weekend/holiday call, and start times around 7am.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care for invasive and non-invasive cardiac procedures.
• Provide patient and family teaching and leadership within the team.
• Respond to call within 20 minutes of a call-out.
• Work 4x10 hour shifts (7:00 AM–5:30 PM; possible 5:00 AM starts).
• Weekend on-call every 6 weeks and holidays as required.

Position Description

Holidays as required.

Weekend on-call every 6 weeks.

Coordinates total nursing care specific for patients undergoing invasive and non-invasive diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac procedures; participates in patient and family teaching and provides leadership by working cooperatively with other team members and disciplines in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.

• Cath lab must have had a minimum of 1 year working independently in the Cath Lab procedure rooms.
• Takes 3-11 and/or 11-7, weekend and holiday call.
• 1 weekend call Fr-Sun in a 6-week period
• Must be able to respond within 20 minutes of a call-out.
• 4x10 hour shifts a week. (DCH will advise start & end times) 7a – 5:30 pm , POSSIBLE 5 AM START TIMES.
• Some late days during the week.
• 30-minute lunches.

Education - Required

• Associated degree in nursing

Licenses – Required

• Registered Nurse State of Alabama or Compact license (No Temp Licenses' accepted)
• NURSYS

Experience - Required:

• 2 years experience; however, will consider 18 months of experience, working under the highest level of professional license, and must have 1 years of recent experience in the field of specialty.
