Job summary

Pscfl is seeking a Nursing - Clinical professional for the Cath Lab to provide patient-centered care using nursing processes. The role involves pre-op assessments, medication administration, and collaborative care planning with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe procedures.

Responsibilities include maintaining documentation in EMR, discharge planning, and education for patients and families, with emphasis on quality standards and patient safety.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Florida (or multi-state compact) active.
• BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications required.
• 1 year of adult/pediatric RN experience in acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-op assessment, document vital signs, weight and height.
• Verify parental consents for medications administered per policy.
• Complete discharge planning according to hospital policies.
• Plan and implement the care plan in collaboration with other disciplines.
• Administer medications following six rights and policy.
• Collaborate with ICU, Child Life, Med-Surg teams for daily care planning.
• Monitor patient during procedures and communicate changes to physician.
• Prepare medications required for surgical field for procedures.
• Assist anesthesia during emergence and extubation as needed.
• Ensure all labs (ACT, ABG, O2) are run as required and document results.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation and charge reconciliation.
• Provide patient and family education on health-related topics.
