Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient-centered care through the nursing process, coordinating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The RN will document assessments, administer medications, and assist during procedures, while adhering to infection control and safety standards. 2 years of clinical experience or student rotations in acute care are required.

Qualifications

  • 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and delivers patient-centered care in accordance with policies, protocols, and nursing process.
  • Performs thorough patient assessments and documents findings, reporting changes to the care team.
  • Administers prescribed medications and monitors for side effects.
  • Assists physicians during procedures within documented competency.
  • Develops and evaluates individualized care plans with the care team.
  • Responds to medical emergencies and participates in CPR and code team activities.
  • Educates patients and families on conditions, plan of care, and post-discharge care.
  • Maintains infection control protocols to prevent healthcare-associated infections.
  • Operates and monitors medical equipment as needed for patient safety.
  • Participates in audits, chart reviews, and compliance with regulatory standards.
