Job summary
Townsen Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse Cath Lab to join our team. The RN license must be current and unrestricted in Texas.
The Cath Lab/EP RN will provide specialized nursing care for diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, from pre-procedure assessment to post-procedure recovery. Responsibilities include patient prep, monitoring, assisting physicians, EP device programming under direction, sedation, and discharge planning, with HIPAA-compliant documentation
Qualifications
- RN license in Texas required.
- Two years Cath Lab/EP experience required.
- BLS/ACLS required; PALS within 60 days of hire.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for Cath Lab/EP procedures including assessments and education.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs; respond to changes.
- Assist physicians during diagnostic/interventional procedures (angiography, ablations, device implants).
- Adjust EP/device settings under physician direction.
- Administer moderate sedation and ensure safety.
- Post-procedure monitoring and discharge coordination.
