Job summary

Parkwest Medical Center, part of Covenant Health in Knoxville, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. This full-time, day-shift role involves preparing patients and equipment, recording hemodynamic data, and delivering patient-centered care during invasive cardiac procedures.

Ideal candidates will have at least 3 years of cath lab experience, a TN RN license, and ACLS/CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years Cath Lab experience.
• RN license in TN with ACLS and CPR.
• Knowledge of cardiac procedures and electrophysiology concepts.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient and equipment for catheterization procedures and calibrates transducers.
• Obtains and records hemodynamic, electrical, and angiographic data.
• Attends to patient needs during cardiac studies.
• Develops and contributes to a nursing care plan.
• Administers intravenous and oral medications.
• Assists in blood gas collection and specimen handling.
• Precepts/trains new staff in cath lab techniques.
• Monitors vital signs during and after procedures.
• Participates in life-saving measures including CPR.
