Job summary

Baptist Health Brookwood Hospital in the United States is seeking a skilled Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory RN to deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced inpatient setting. You will work with a collaborative team to monitor patients with cardiac or critical conditions and support rapid, evidence-based interventions.

This role emphasizes patient advocacy, detailed care plans, and ongoing education for staff and students, with opportunities across multiple facilities and flexible scheduling

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Maintains current Alabama RN license or valid eNLC multistate RN license.
• Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC are required for certain areas.
• 1 year experience required unless AVP level or above approved.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive assessments, recognizes critical changes, and initiates appropriate interventions or emergency protocols.
• Manages and interprets data from specialized equipment (e.g., intracranial pressure monitors, central and pulmonary artery lines, cardiac monitors, ventilators).
• Develops, updates, and evaluates individualized care plans; documents all care according to regulatory and hospital standards.
• Serves as a patient and family advocate, delivering compassionate, age-appropriate care.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate and prioritize patient care; delegates tasks appropriately.
• Functions as a preceptor, charge nurse, unit educator, or clinician; supports onboarding of new staff and students.
• Communicates essential patient and unit information clearly to the healthcare team.
• Maintains competency in unit-specific equipment and follows evidence-based practice standards.
• Demonstrates professionalism, respect for diversity, awareness of legal/ethical standards, and consistent, reliable attendance.
