The Cath Lab (CL) at Banner Estrella supports many Interventional Cardiologists and Interventional Radiology procedures, including inpatient/outpatient diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath and radiology. The facility currently has 4 procedural labs and is preparing to begin structural heart interventions.
Bring your previous experience as a Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology Nurse to this key role at Banner Estrella. You will be part of a tenured team that values each member's skills and enjoys their work. Orientation and onboarding are provided by an experienced Cath Lab RN preceptor. Your duties will include circulating and monitoring Lab cases, working throughout Medical Imaging, and assisting with procedures such as electrophysiology, TEE’s, cardioversions, stress testing, pacemaker/ICD placements, nephrostomy tubes, tunneled lines, feeding tubes, port placements, embolizations, and fistulograms. Training will be provided for unfamiliar procedures.
Work schedule: four 10-hour shifts, Mon.-Fri., 6:30 am - 5:00 pm. There is an on-call obligation for emergent procedures, with a flat rate $3/hour weekend shift differential, $5/hour on call, and callback pay of 2x hourly rate, with a minimum two-hour callback pay.
Sign-on Incentive: $15,000 for RNs with at least 1 year of Cath/EP RN experience; requires a 2-year commitment.
Position Summary: This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting nursing care according to organizational policies and professional standards. The nurse is responsible for the quality of care delivered, utilizing specialized knowledge and judgment, and tailoring care to the patient's age and needs.
Core Functions: Includes patient assessment across physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural domains; planning and implementing individualized care plans; collaborating with the healthcare team; evaluating patient responses; documenting care; participating in research and quality improvement activities; and supervising staff when applicable.
Minimum Qualifications: Valid RN license in the practice state, BLS certification, and relevant clinical experience, particularly in an acute care setting within the past 12 months. Additional certifications or education may be required based on specific practice areas.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and professional certification.
