AdventHealth Travel/Contract Nursing Program

  • Supports facilities within the AdventHealth system, providing a consistent experience across job sites.
  • Training at one site applies to others within the region, minimizing time outside patient care.
  • Compensation comparable to travel assignments.
You Will Be Responsible For:
  • Providing effective assessment to ensure quality patient care.
  • Performing and documenting initial assessments, including patient needs, safety, discharge planning, and multi-system physical assessments.
  • Monitoring lab work for trends and reporting abnormalities.
  • Implementing appropriate interventions based on clinical data.
  • Conducting ongoing assessments reflecting patients' physical and mental status.
  • Using restraints safely and appropriately, demonstrating competency in their application and monitoring.
  • Analyzing cardiac rhythms safely and independently.
  • Developing and updating individualized care plans from admission to discharge.
  • Preparing patients for tests, procedures, and surgeries.
  • Implementing nursing actions to ensure quality care.
  • Documenting assessments and changes in patient condition timely and accurately.
  • Maintaining professional communication with physicians, patients, and families.
  • Providing education to patients and families from admission to discharge, including care plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
Qualifications

What You Will Need:

  • Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited school.
  • Active Kansas RN license or multi-state RN license.
  • Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in acute care.
