Job summary

Care New England in Rhode Island seeks a Cardiovascular Lab Technician responsible for operation, monitoring and maintenance of cardiac catheterization equipment in the Kent Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory.

The role requires an associate degree or equivalent experience, proficiency with biomedical equipment, and readiness to participate in on-call emergencies; you will support physicians and care teams to ensure safe procedures.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in applied sciences or 1+ year of related experience.
• Experience with biomedical and diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain diagnostic and interventional equipment per manufacturer specifications.
• Set up, adjust and operate diagnostic and interventional equipment used in the Kent Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory.
• Calibrate equipment and troubleshoot minor problems; report issues to the Lead Cardiovascular Technician and monitor service visits.
• Receive and position patients; monitor hemodynamics and notify the physician of changes during procedures.
• Assist the physician during procedures and scrub in as needed; participate in inventory management and supply acquisition.
• Support on-call for emergencies and maintain a clean, safe catheterization lab environment.
