Ardent Health Services seeks a Day Shift, Full-Time Lead Cardiovascular Technologist for the Cardiac Catheterization Lab in Harker Heights, TX. You will lead staff, ensure patient safety, and coordinate imaging and nursing activities in a high-volume lab.

Responsibilities include staffing, quality assurance, data reporting, equipment maintenance, ALARA adherence, and patient advocacy. Requires ARRT RT or RCIS with LMRT, BLS, and ACLS certifications with prior lab leadership preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or Cardiovascular Technology.
• Registered Technologist (RT) by ARRT with MRT license or RCIS with LMRT preferred.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role.
• ACLS Certification.
• Demonstrated ability to operate medical equipment including CPACS, PACS and RIS.

Aufgaben

• Assists the Heart & Vascular Center Director in the delivery of patient care, staff supervision and coordination of imaging and nursing activities.
• Assists in planning and leadership to the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory by developing staffing plans and staff education.
• Assists in human resources activities such as interviewing, hiring, training, counseling, scheduling, verifying payroll and employee performance.
• Assists in the Quality Assurance / Improvement Program of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory.
• Participates in all inspections and surveys of the department.
• Ascertains and oversees all NCDR data ensuring metrics are completed and reported on time.
• Assists in developing and implementing a supply inventory system to prevent interruptions in patient care.
• Assists in developing and revising department policies to meet Joint Commission and other requirements.
• Maintains PACS and RIS; ensures data integrity and accessibility.
• Performs equipment quality control and notifies management of malfunctions.
• Adheres to ALARA and communicates effectively with medical and administrative staff.
• Explains cardiovascular procedures to patients and families and obtains patient history.
• Serves as patient advocate and supports patient autonomy.
• Performs imaging and table-side assistance for diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Operates hemodynamics system, enters demographics, monitors and maps patient data.
• Provides minimal nursing care to ensure patient comfort and safety.
