Qualifications

  • Knowledge of ECG training and arrhythmia interpretation.
  • Knowledge of Cardiovascular anatomy.
  • Knowledge of vascular anatomy.
  • Knowledge of Hemodynamic Monitoring.
  • Ability to communicate with patients, families, and staff.
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry concepts and procedures.
  • Ability to monitor vital signs with clinical equipment.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Office products.
  • Must read/write/speak conversational English.
  • Preparing/positioning patients and selecting parameters accurately.
  • Preparing/administrating contrast media and meds per regulations.
  • Observing procedures and updating protocols as needed.
  • Following radiation safety procedures.
  • Performing specialized imaging procedures (angio, vascular, interventional).
  • Ensuring activities comply with regulatory standards.
  • Knowledge of electrophysiology diagnostic procedures (preferred).
  • Knowledge of interventional radiology procedures (preferred).
  • Knowledge of peripheral diagnostic/interventional procedures (preferred).
  • Knowledge of interventional cardiology procedures (preferred).
  • Basic EKG interpretation (preferred).

Job Description:

Maintains and operates equipment and supplies for cardiovascular procedures, ensuring proper setup and sterilization. Produces accurate and timely medical records for each patient based on the scope and complexity of the intervention procedure and patient clinical conditions. Trains and supervises new personnel, providing orientation and ongoing education. Participates in quality and performance improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes. Ensures adherence to regulatory standards and enforces safety regulations. Maintains accurate and secure medical records, following prescribed processes for documentation. Demonstrates cross-functional abilities and leadership skills within the cardiovascular team. Takes scheduled emergency calls and responds in a timely manner. Performs diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures, including coronary, electrophysiology, interventional radiology, and peripheral interventions. Verifies orders, facilitates implementation, and communicates with physicians as needed. Administers and evaluates effectiveness of treatments and medications according to policy and training. Other duties as assigned. Responds appropriately in clinical emergencies and performs within the scope of practice for the position.

  • Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English [Required]
  • Preparing and positioning patients and selecting anatomic and technical parameters accurately [Required]
  • Preparing and administering contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable regulations [Required]
  • Observing patient during procedure and reporting abnormal activity. Monitoring protocols and recommending updates or refinements as warranted [Required]
  • Following radiation safety procedures and guidelines [Required]
  • Able to perform all specialized imaging procedures such as angio, complex vascular and nonvascular interventional and therapeutic procedures [Required]
  • Ensuring all activities comply with regulatory agency standards [Required]
