Job summary

Stormont Vail Health is seeking a Specialty Registered Nurse (Cardiac/vascular) for a part-time role in Topeka, KS. The RN will provide direct patient care in ambulatory/acute settings, administer high-risk medications and sedations, and collaborate with the health care team to ensure safe, effective patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN (preferred), with clinic experience and strong skills in patient assessment, medication administration, and post-operative care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
• Experience in a clinic setting preferred
• Demonstrates patient rights awareness and safety adherence
• Demonstrates legal knowledge in patient care and department operations
• Proficient in verbal, non-verbal and written communication

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and gather patient data
• Administer medications and titrate infusions per nursing standards
• Develop and implement prioritized care plans
• Document patient information accurately and timely
• Assist in procedures and monitor sedation and anesthesia recovery
• Educate patients and families on care and discharge plans
• Float to hospital units as needed and adhere to staffing plans
