Job summary

Stanford Health Care - Tri-Valley seeks a Radiology Support professional to assist invasive cardiology, interventional radiology, and/or vascular procedures. You will help with imaging, equipment operation, and patient care in a fast-paced lab.

You will monitor hemodynamics, support radiation safety, and ensure proper inventory and documentation. Experience in Cath Lab or EP lab is preferred, with strong communication and teamwork essential.

Qualifications

  • Radiology technologist/ Cath Lab exposure preferred.
  • Proven ability to assist physicians in interventional procedures.
  • Familiarity with lab protocols, radiation safety, and patient care standards.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and position patients for interventional procedures.
  • Monitor hemodynamic measurements during catheterization.
  • Assist in imaging and interventional modalities as needed.
  • Maintain procedure room inventory and restock as necessary.
  • Educate patients and families about procedures and care.
  • Adhere to C-I-CARE standards for patient-centered interactions.

Day - 10 Hour (United States of America)

This is a Stanford Health Care - Tri Valley job.

A Brief Overview

Assists the invasive cardiologist, Interventional Radiologist, and/or vascular surgeon in the performance of interventional procedures. Shares responsibility in the acquisition and processing of state-of-the-art imaging and efficient operation of equipment in the interventional labs. Participates in hemodynamic monitoring, scrubbing, and circulating duties. Maintains adequate levels of inventory in assigned procedure and restocks inventories as needed. Operates appropriate medical equipment and interacts professionally with customers and staff.

What you will do
  • Prepare and position patients for interventional procedures
  • Monitors and documents all essential hemodynamic measurements throughout diagnostic and interventional catheterization procedures.
  • Utilizes and troubleshoots all adjunct diagnostic and interventional modalities necessary to complete.
  • Provides technical skills necessary to assist the physician in performing interventional procedures.
  • Provides a safe environment for patients undergoing interventional procedures including instituting methods to reduce radiation exposure.
  • Monitors and documents all X-ray exposure doses.
  • Ensures radiation protection protocols are followed by all staff members and patients.
  • Inventories procedure rooms and stocks as needed.
  • Completes expired stock list monthly.
  • Participates in cross training in all aspects of the Cardiac Cath and Interventional Radiology Lab.
  • Maintains all CEU's required for certification and or licensure.
  • Effectively completes and ensures that all electronic data is sent to its appropriate destination.
  • Educates patients/families regarding procedure and/or treatment to be performed.
  • Employee must perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the C-I-CARE Standards of the Hospital.

Education Qualifications

Accredited School of Radiology

Experience Qualifications
  • One year of Cath Lab experience preferred
  • EP lab experience preferred
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced changing environment
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Basic knowledge of budgeting
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong knowledge or safety, quality management and join commission standards for department
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment and elevate to management if needed.
Licenses and Certifications
  • CRT BLS - Basic Life Support
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support

Base Pay Scale

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $75.72 - $100.96 per hour
