The Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist at Altru Health System prepares the Cath Lab for Cardiac Cath Lab procedures, performs hemodynamic and control room duties, completes patient catheterization reports, and correlates the analysis of invasive and non-invasive tests.

The role maintains sterile technique, performs stress tests, follows radiation safety protocols, and transports patients as needed to support Cardiovascular procedures.

Formación

• ND Medical Imaging License required or eligible
• Cardiovascular Technologist - Registered or eligible
• BLS and ACLS certifications required within 90 days of start date

Responsabilidades

• Correlates the analysis of invasive and noninvasive tests to recognize need for additional intervention and reports pertinent findings to Physician.
• Performs hemodynamic and control room duties maintaining a working knowledge of equipment.
• Prepares the Cardiac Cath Lab for procedures according to standard operating procedures, i.e., proper supplies, equipment set-up, etc.
• Prepares, assists and completes tasks during Cardiovascular procedures as directed and supervised by the Physician.
• Practices radiation safety in order to protect both staff members and the patient.
• Performs and monitors patient's stress tests.
• Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.

Basic Life Support (BLS)
