Job summary

St. Francis Medical Center in Los Angeles seeks an experienced cardiovascular technologist to assist in invasive and noninvasive procedures in the cath lab. Under physician direction, scrub, monitor hemodynamic data, and help maintain a prepared procedure room.

Requirements include ARRT-R or CCT/RCIS, BCLS, ACLS within 30 days, and prior cath lab experience preferred. Per diem, Days shift, compensation competitive.

Qualifications

• ARRT-R and license as required by State or Certified Cardiovascular Technologist (CCT) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) required.
• Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab; preferred.
• Cardiovascular technologist training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring preferred.
• BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS; required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data in the cardiovascular lab.
• Ensure procedure room is prepared for procedures and monitor par level of instruments and supplies.
• Participate in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities and training of new staff.
• Assist in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.
